Tofu Dumplings

Method

  • Cut the bean curd into cubes.
  • Spread the cubes on a plate and sprinkle with ginger and MSG. Mix well and keep aside.
  • Make a thin batter of gram flour with water. Add salt and pepper.
  • Heat the oil in a pan on medium high heat.
  • Dip the tofu pieces into the flour batter.
  • Add to the oil, a few pieces at a time. Deep-fry until golden brown.
  • Remove and drain well.
  • Serve hot with chili sauce.

Ingredients
  • 200 g fresh tofu
  • ¼ tsp fresh ginger, finely grated
  • 2 tbsp gram flour
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • ¼ tsp MSG (optional)
  • Oil for deep frying
