Procedure

  • Boil and peel raw bananas and mash them properly.
  • Add ginger, green chillies, asafoetida and salt to the mashed bananas.
  • Make balls out of the mixture and deep-fry them till golden brown.
  • Add turmeric, chilli powder and salt to buttermilk and keep aside.
  • Heat the ghee and add mustard seeds. When they splutter add the curry leaves.
  • Add the buttermilk mixture.
  • Bring it to boil.
  • Add the koftas and simmer for a few minutes.
  • Serve hot. B Fed 52B+ve


For the dough:

  • 2 raw bananas
  • 1/4 tsp ginger (grated)
  • 1/4 tsp green chilli (chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp asafoetida
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to fry
  • For Gravy
  • 150 ml buttermilk
  • 1/4 tsp bustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • Red Chilli Powder to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Curry leaves, a few
  • 1 tbsp ghee
