Ring Dhokla

Method

  • Mix the dhokla powder with 250 ml water and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  • Pour into a ring mould and steam for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • When cooked, let it cool and remove the dhokla ring onto a plate. For the temper, heat little oil in a small pan and add the mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  • Add the onions and sauté till brown.
  • Add the ginger paste and chopped green chilli, along with the turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt to taste.

Ingredients

  • 250 grams khaman dhokla powder
  • 1/2 can corn kernels
  • 2 teaspoons ginger paste
  • 1-2 green chillies, chopped
  • 4 onions, chopped
  • 6 – 7 curry leaves
  • 2 teaspoons mustard seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • ½ teaspoon red chilli powder
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • Juice of one lemon
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • Salt to taste
