Chinese Tofu Curry

Method

  • Cut tofu into small cubes and keep aside.
  • Heat oil and fry onion and green chilli.
  • Add pepper and spring onions and stir-fry for 2 minutes on high flame.
  • Then add soya sauce, vinegar, dry red chillies and salt.
  • Add 1 cup water (or more as desired) and let boil.
  • Now add tofu to it and boil.
  • Mix cornflour in little water to make a paste and add to boiling mixture.
  • Serve hot with noodles or rice.

Ingredients
  • 250g firm tofu
  • 2 dry red chillies, crushed
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 spring onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp cornflour
  • Oil
  • 2 tbsp soya sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown vinegar
  • 1 green chilli, sliced
