No Grime, NoProblems!

If you were to look at the skin through a magnifying glass before it is cleansed, you will be surprised to find the extent of dirt, sweat and oil deposits, make-up and pollutants on the skin surface. Our skin is in direct contact with the increasing pollution. Hence, the need to cleanse and wash has become more essential today.

There is an array of face washes to choose from these days. A face wash is basically a soap substitute that washes off the dirt from the skin. Cleansing on the other hand is a process of cleaning the skin surface. A myriad of cleansing creams are also available in the market today. Many cleansing cream milks are usually for normal to dry skin. All you need to do is to take some and massage with it lightly. Once the cream seems to have been absorbed, wipe off with cotton.

Face washes are usually gel based, designed either for normal wash or to meet typical problems such as acne, dry, oily or sensitive skin, etc. So face washes contain different ingredients to suit different skin types and address different problems. For example, most face washes for oily skin are light in texture, so that they are rinsed off easily with water. They reduce oiliness but do not deplete moisture. Similarly, a face wash for dry skin may contain natural moisturisers and emollients that remove impurities without disturbing the normal balances. They do not remove natural oils.

Benefits Of Face Wash
  • Refreshing and easy to use.
  • As they are soap-free, they do not have an alkaline effect and are gentle on the skin.
  • Can be easily rinsed off to leave a clean, refreshing feeling.
Advantages Over Soap
  • Soap can be too alkaline and can thus disrupt the normal acid-alkaline balance of the skin.
  • Soap can also remove natural oils and moisture from the skin.
  • A face wash, on the other hand, can be made in a way that it is pH balanced and does not disrupt the normal balances.
  • Face washes can also contain ingredients that are suited to particular needs. For instance, a face wash for dry skin may contain milli capsules containing Vitamin E oil, or geranium oil. A face wash for oily skin can contain protective and antiseptic ingredients like Tulsi, Neem, Mint, Lavender, Tea Tree Oil, and so on.
