Causes
- Salmonella typhi bacteria
- Consuming food or water contaminated with feces of infected person
Symptoms
- Prolonged fever
- Abdominal pain and discomfort
- Diarrhea
- Rash on lower chest and abdomen
- Body pain
- Poor appetite
- Delirium

- Washing hands with soap after visiting the toilet
- Washing hands before meals
- Washing raw fruits and vegetables before consumption
- Drinking boiled or bottled water
- Vaccination when travelling to risky areas
