Retinoblastoma is a cancer that develops in the retina of one or both eyes in children below 5 years of age.
- White or yellow pupil in a photograph taken with flash
- Redness of eye
- Eye irritation
- Crossed eyes or strabismus
- Poor vision
- Delayed development
If detected early, retinoblastoma can be cured. Treatment varies from patient to patient and includes:
- External beam radiotherapy
- Laser therapy
- Plaque radiation
There is no way to prevent retinoblastoma.
