Presbyopia is the age related, gradual loss of the eye’s ability to focus on near objects.
- Loss of flexibility in the lens
- Difficulty in reading fine text
- Holding reading material further than normal to read
- Need for brighter light
- Eyestrain after prolonged reading or close work
There is no cure for this condition but it can be managed efficiently with:
- Reading glasses
- Contact lenses
- Refractive surgery
- Lens implants
There is no way to prevent presbyopia.
