Hodgkin’s Lymphoma

 

Hodgkin’s Lymphoma or Hodgkin’s disease is a cancer of the lymph system.

Causes
Causes for this cancer are not known.

Symptoms

  • Painless enlarged lymph nodes in neck, armpit or groin
  • Fever
  • Night sweats
  • Weight loss
  • Itchy skin
  • Fatigue
  • Cough
  • Breathlessness

Treatment
Treatment differs from patient to patient. It may include:

  • Radiotherapy
  • Chemotherapy
  • Combination of radiotherapy and chemotherapy
  • High dose chemotherapy with stem cell support

Prevention
Since causes are not clear, there is no known way to prevent Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
