Hemophilia is a group of inherited disorders preventing the blood from clotting normally.
- Missing or low levels of clotting factors in blood
- Frequent bruising
- Excessive or prolonged bleeding
- Blood in urine or hematuria
- Pain and swelling in joints
There is no cure for hemophilia but it can be managed efficiently by:
- Desmopressin hormone injections
- Replacement therapy to replace the missing clotting factor
There is no way to prevent hemophilia.
