Diabetic neuropathy is nerve damage caused due to diabetes.

Causes

  • High levels of blood sugar

Symptoms

  • Monitoring blood sugar levels
  • Medications to control blood sugar levels, pain and other symptoms
  • Diet control
  • Exercise
  • Foot care

  • Consistently maintaining safe blood sugar levels
  • Controlling blood pressure
  • Eating balanced diet
  • Exercising regularly
  • Avoiding tobacco  consumption
  • Avoiding alcohol consumption
